The Fail Safe Project

Started in the fall of 2010, Spokane, WA’s THE FAIL SAFE PROJECT quickly began playing shows throughout the Pacific Northwest and building a strong local following. In late 2011, the band recorded a four-song EP which was released in February of 2012. The band has toured relentlessly since then, performing almost 100 shows in just eight months time doing headlining shows and opening for bands such as Avenged Sevenfold, Sevendust, Bullet For My Valentine, 10 Years, Theory of a Deadman, Pop Evil, and even managed to secure a spot on the Rockstar Uproar Festival at the Spokane Arena in 2011. The band prides itself on putting on high energy live shows and pours its heart into every performance. "Getting the fans stoked and making new friends at every show is what this band is all about", says guitarist George Silva.
“We had this cool EP that was getting a great response from people, but it only had four songs on it” states guitarist George Silva. “We began shopping it to different labels and most of the responses asked to hear more material, so we eventually went back and began laying down a few more tracks. After a while we kind of just decided to finish up a full 13 track album and release it independently ourselves. One day, just out of the blue – Chris Poland from Eclipse Records called me to follow up on a statement he sent detailing royalties due from back when I was in Five Foot Thick. We got talking, and he was real interested in my new band, so I sent him the EP and he offered us a deal within a couple weeks!” Label President Chris Poland continues, “I was real happy to hear George was still playing, and had a new band. He was a pleasure to work with back when I had signed Five Foot Thick, so naturally I was really interested. When I heard THE FAIL SAFE PROJECT, I was totally blown away. While the band is quite different from FFT, they still have that heavy guitar edge I look for along with a fresh, different sound that can help distinguish them from the masses.”
Various commercial radio stations such as Rock 94.5 (KHTQ), The Edge 88.1 (KTCV), 97 Rock (KXRX), and 96.3 The Blaze (KBAZ) have already been spinning the band’s music regularly, and they’ve even managed to secure endorsements from Schecter Guitars, Basson Cabinets, Hometown Heartthrob Clothing, Bleeding Star Clothing, and Maxline Custom Road Cases.
THE FAILSAFE PROJECT is currently at Rainbow Trout Studios (Spokane, WA), working on completing their debut self-titled album (which will contain thirteen brand new songs of original music), and is expected to be released in the Summer of 2013.
